Story of Caldey

During the summer there will be a regular weekly guided walk on Caldey Island by Wales Blue Badge Guide Marion Davies. The walk includes the story of the island and its communities from the 6th Century to the present day. A visit to the old priory and churches of St Illtud's, St David's and the Abbey. (Please note we will not be going into any other parts of the Abbey.) The tour is a relaxed gentle walk but will involve steps, slopes, uneven surfaces, cobbles and country walking, also periods of standing and is largely out doors. Please dress appropriately for all weathers. The tour will run for approximately 2 hours.

Departs outside the shop on Caldey Island at 13.00.

This walk will take place one day a week as scheduled, please check the website, www.guidedtourswales.co.uk
and also note that sometimes the crossing to the island is impossible, so check before hand to make sure that the tour will go ahead and that the boats are able to cross.

Where possible an alternative date/time during the week will be offered.

Normal Caldey boat prices apply and must be paid on mainland before departure.
